Elric Henry aka EL-Rock was born in the San Francisco bay area, raised only by his mother after his father died when Elric was nine years old. Growing up with a single parent in an urban setting at seventeen El-Rock discovered Graffiti art and it was an instant love which drew him deeper into the culture of Hip Hop music, inspired and gifted with talent he has been doing music ever since. El-Rock has had the privilege of collaborating and working with some of Hip Hops greatest like E-40, George Clinton, Too Short & Mista F.A.B. El-Rock came up performing at the legendary Storyville night club in the Filmore district of SF and has performed with Nelly, Fabulous, Mos Def, Wu-Tang, The Clipse, KRS-One, EPMD, Amerie, Rick James and many more. After rocking shows all over the West Coast, El-Rock honed his skills and dropped his first single called “It’s My Life” where it topped the charts for twelve weeks on KZSU’s number one hip hop show The Drum.  El-Rock has a wide musical influence from The Beatles, The Grateful Dead to Tupac, Big L, and Bob Marley.  His new album “Rags To Riches” will be released this year, produced by Bay Area’s legendary One Drop Scott, Cozmo, and Gennessee.  His music speaks for itself bringing that Smooth Universal Sound with hard punch lines and a solid street appeal.
